The young are the authors of the future, the old are the authors of the past and both are the authors of the present.

Above, the Philadelphia City Hall version of the Rainbow flag with black and brown bands added to highlight black and brown LGBTQIA [? – Ed.] members within [Philadelphia’s] community, released in June 2017.

Here are two FACTS:
1. A baby, born today, will (should they survive to adulthood) in two decades time celebrate their 20th birthday.
2. Most (not all) of those persons who are today celebrating their 80th birthday, will in two decades time be dead.
Today on pages 26 and 27 of the Daily Mail, journalist Guy Adams has penned a expose of the campaign of lies and deceit of many Comrade Corbyn supporting activists during the election campaign. There is little doubt that the election result was influenced by this. Herewith an internet sourced version of the report. GOTO: https://www.pressreader.com/uk/daily-mail/20170701/281960312770309
Tories such as Jacob Rees-Mogg – a victim of what is now called “fake news” – may well consider himself ill-used. However such as he should recall that there were those in his party that in the past spread similar. The difference being of course the existence of the internet which can cause such lies to spread far and wide in an incredibly short space of time. The liars who promulgate such are of course fully and completely aware of the phrase coined by Winston Churchill: “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its trousers on.”
Note to Mr Rees-Mogg: We can supply an example of past Tory lies.
The purpose of today’s article is not to excoriate the liars who put out “fake news” but to draw the Reader’s attention to the rapidly changing world in which we live. Here is another example:
Recently there was yet another report of a widespread attack on the computers of many with data access being sabotaged and with it a ransom demand. As a result, I performed a back up of some critical files – including the text of all past British Gazette articles onto what is called a USB memory stick. The stick was made by TDK and had a capacity of 16 GB. It is tiny! Yesterday whilst shopping in Tesco, I decided to acquire another such device. Technology however has advanced remarkably quickly. I was pleased that I could still buy such a device. The new device is made by Scandisk and has a capacity of 32 GB. As well as having twice the storage capacity, the device is half the size!
The FACT is this: We live in a rapidly changing world. In our article of the 29th, (http://www.british-gazette.co.uk/2017/06/29/brexit-predicting-the-direction-of-travel-backwards/) we headed up with an altered version of “The Sun’s” Photo-shopped rendering of Miss Cyrus sitting atop a wrecking ball. A wrecking ball can be described as a large and very heavy pendulum!
The thing everybody knows about a pendulum – and a wrecking ball – is that both swing BOTH ways!
This is why we have headed up today’s article with the Rainbow flag. Today, in the UK of 2017, there is a widespread acceptance and tolerance of those who are of a sexual orientation other than heterosexual.
As many of those persons will be fully aware, this was not always the case. Six decades ago, such persons were often convicted of “gross indecency” and sent to prison.
It is a MISTAKE to assume that the present state of affairs will continued unaltered into the future.
In a democracy, changing public attitudes can and often do result in legislative change.
This is why we drew the Reader’s attention to the fact than most babies born today will celebrate their 20th birthdays and most of those celebrating their 80th birthdays will NOT receive their telegrams from the monarch/president due to the fact that they will be dead.
The population of the UK is undergoing a radical and rapid change. Immigration is now measured in the hundreds of thousands – per year. Many persons who are from the indigenous population are emigrating. The birthrate of the ethnic minority communities are much higher than that of the indigenous community which is below replacement number levels. Many members of the UK’s diverse population are not integrating.
FACT: In two decades time the UK [or what has replaced it] will be a very different country.
FACT: In three decades time the UK [or what has replaced it] will be a very, very different country.
FACT: In four decades time the UK [or what has replaced it] will be a very, very, very different country.
