The Sound of Silence……………………..

For those too young to remember Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel’s iconic song, Wikipedia has an informative web page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sound_of_Silence). To those of us who can remember it, we can also remember the context and meaning behind the lyrics. This because it was a protest song. The backdrop was not only the Vietnam War but the Civil Rights movement in the USA.
So, why have I placed the YouTube video of the song in the image spot of today’s post?
Because it so eloquently describes what is going on today insofar as the whole “Net Zero” carry is concerned.
The BG’s post contrasts strongly with the well researched, authoritative and informative blog-post today from “North the Younger” (https://www.turbulenttimes.co.uk/news/latest-stories/renewable-energy-the-new-big-lie/).
So why the scant detail? I hear you ask.
Laziness?
No. Lack of money!
You see IF I had the money (and I am talking about the size of fortune were one to be the single jackpot winner of the Euromillions lottery the said lottery having “rolled over” several times) I would have the ability and freedom to write a blog-post that would say certain things about certain entities and certain persons on the topic of “Net Zero”.
The reason why I do not is that some of these entities and persons may well be extremely litigious.
If you are not inordinately rich – and I mean a net worth in excess of US $100 million – do not even think about running the risk of receiving a writ for libel! Even settling immediately with a grovelling and abject apology will not avoid personal ruin for most people!
This is the power of wealth that the late Tony Benn was talking about!
This is why I and many other commentators remain silent!
Listen to the YouTube video and take in the Sound of Silence!
