Not Going Out is an unusual sitcom (it has aired on BBC 1 since 2006). Unusual because one of the co-stars, Lee Mack created the drama and being one of the writers in fact specifically wrote the script to include himself in a fictionalised persona in it. What you see above is typical of the feisty relationship between landlady Lucy Adams and her lodger Mack.
The video (https://vimeo.com/691002517) contained in an email from Cornwall County Council this morning caused me to recall the sit-com. The above image seems appropriate to Cornwall’s situation!
Lots of people – the elderly will begin their own versions of self imposed lockdowns.
In 23 days time it will be Easter Sunday. I do hope the coronavirus infection rate (in Cornwall) has dropped by then.
