It is well known that the phrase that is the subject of the question that is today’s blog-post title was coined by Sir Winston Churchill. During a House of Commons debate on 22 February, 1906, Churchill was addressing accusations that the British government was condoning the slavery of Chinese labourers in South Africa’s Transvaal region. To avoid the strong and unparliamentary accusation of calling another politician a “liar”—while maintaining that the opposition’s description was entirely false – Churchill stated:
“The conditions of the Transvaal ordinance […] cannot in the opinion of His Majesty’s Government be classified as slavery in the extreme acceptance of the word without some risk of terminological inexactitude.”
One of the questions that Climate Realists ask frequently is this: Why do the glow-bull warnists persist?
Well, ask yourself this question: Why do human beings make use of terminological inexactitudes?
We ALL know the answer: Because making use of a terminological inexactitude serves our interests better than making use of a terminological exactitude!
So….. This begs the question: Why use terminological inexactitudes in respect of “climate change”?
Many come up with theories such as “It’s the rich establishment wanting to profit!” and “They want to control us all and make us poor!”
Personally, I doubt this!
Say what you want about Ed Miliband but he is not the sort of chap who would happily hob-knob with the likes of Elon Musk! Mr Miliband does NOT want to impoverish his constituents!
The other thing is the width and depth of the terminological inexactitudes!
The problem with terminological inexactitudes is this: That the more they are shared, the more they are discovered and terminological exactitudes become known! And let us face it: “Climate Change” has been widely shared!
Something is going on!
And it is NOT a group of Bilderbergers wanting to enrich themselves and control us!
It is at this point that the vast majority of humanity will declare that the chap behind the British Gazette is a raving lunatic!
You see, I reckon it is all connected with the Little Green Men – who as we all know are not little, not green and not men!
The UFO cover-up has been going on science 1947 and I reckon the situations world-wide is being managed. At several levels.
There is a phrase; “Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey!” Since this phrase is now “politically incorrect” this has now been replaced by the metaphor; “the boiling frog”.
Either describes the well established military strategy of advancing stealthy upon one’s enemy to attack them by surprise.
This is NOT to say that the advanced alien extra terrestrial civilisations (note plural) that the governments of the world know about and – some appear to have indirect relations with – are malevolent entities planning to stage a “War of the World’s” style attack upon humanity.
What appears to be the case is a gradual long established relationship where there is a programme or process that has spanned decades of influence affecting humanity’s development across several levels (cultural, environmental, social, technological) to prepare and lay foundations to a point in time which will likely be declared as “First Contact” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_contact_(science_fiction)).
This is actually a GOOD SIGN!
It is a well established and well known strategy rooted in “common sense” not gradually introduce a proposal/subject/topic to an audience rather than to spring it on them unannounced.
As applied to the enactment and implementation of this strategy – as opposed to not preparing the mass of the general public – to the existence of and contact with the advanced alien extra terrestrial civilisations is simple plain common sense.
However, this strategy is going to have severe political consequences that the politicians are only too well aware of.
You see, it appears to be the case that some of the reported instances of the so-called “alien abductions” are in fact what the victims claim them to be. That the authorities/governments turned a Nelsonian “blind eye” to this will cause a negative reaction amongst a population that feel (understandably) that something should have been acknowledged/done about it!
However, this gradual preparation the general public has been patchy and really can only be applied to much of the “First World” whereas many the nations that make up the “Third World” in Africa and parts of Asia has been enacted/implemented at a slower pace or sometimes not at all.
The biggest cultural/social impact will be on populations that have a high level of religious observance. There is a danger that “First Contact” could shatter these societies or worse, cause some of the people or theological authorities within these societies to deem the the advanced alien extra terrestrial civilisations as malevolent when in fact they could be neutral or benevolent.
I reckon that all the bro-ha-ha over CO2 and climate change and the stressing of “Net Zero 2050” could be an indication that “First Contact” may take place in 2050.
There could well be logic to this: The “glow-bull-warnists” are deeply dystopian with such as BBC journalists doom-mongering about how awful things could be in the future and how governments and societies aren’t doing enough to stave of environmental disaster.
It MIGHT be the case that there could be some aspects of “what comes next” post a 2050 “First Contact” that let us say, could be “concerning” to the members of the general public!
Now let us address some of the issues that have been explored in science-fiction and some of the criticisms levelled against Ufologists such as Moi by the armies of UFO debunkers:
In such sci-fi genres are the popular “Star Trek” series storylines cover “mining planets” where humans are working at mines on planets orbiting other suns and the ore is collected by space ships that then deliver the said or to metal refineries on other planets (home worlds) such as Earth and Vulcan.
The UFO debunkers ridicule these scenarios ruthlessly – and I agree with them! They’re absolutely correct to do so! Such an idea is ridiculous nonsense as such raw materials will be available on the home planet or other planets orbiting the home planet’s own star – in other words, within that home planet’s solar system!
This of course causes the UFO debunkers to suggest that there is therefore NOTHING any ET civilisation would want on planet Earth.
WRONG!
Ask yourselves this: What things are exclusive to planet Earth?
Answer: Earth’s flora and fauna – and fauna includes us – humans!
FACT: As the late Dr Carl Sagan repeated at every opportunity he was afforded – humans are unique! He went further: Live on Earth is unique inasmuch as live evolving on other planets orbiting other stars will be similarly unique.
Now, not long ago, one would have stated that human beings are the only intelligent life on Earth. No longer! There is a large body of evidence that cetaceans are highly intelligent, have a sophisticated language – equal to our own languages – and that they exists in ordered societies and have a long established culture.
This has in fact been explored in fiction in one of the Star Trek movie spin offs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_IV:_The_Voyage_Home).
It is entirely possible that the advanced alien extra terrestrial civilisations have their eye/s (or whatever organ/s acts as a substitute) on human beings. That they wish to “import” human beings to suitable environment on suitable planets!
NB: Governments on planet Earth may well see such “export” opportunities highly desirable!
Let us go through some of these countries alphabetically:
Afghanistan: The theocratic autocracy there will doubtless deem any person who is other than a devout Sunni Muslim as worthy of export! Rather than expend resources persecuting these persons “exporting” them to a planet light years away would be infinitely preferable.
Great Britain: The democratic politicians at Westminster would be as keen as the Taliban to export some of their citizens. But for very different reasons!
I can imagine Westminster politicians would be very keen on “exporting” convicted criminals! Let us face it; this is exactly what Westminster politicians did when the implemented the policy of penal transportation to Australia!
Let us also remember that they also encouraged law abiding settlers to emigrate to Australia as well!
Along with criminals (major and minor), Westminster politicians would doubtless also like to see “expensive” citizens (those that appear as a liability on the national balance sheet) “exported”!
For instance, old people requiring expensive NHS treatment!
Of course, dictatorships such as North Korea would have many citizens it would wish to “export”!
However: the desire to export a nation’s elderly may not be what the Earthly governments or the ETCs want. You see, the combination of “AI” and humanoid robots is going to render the vast majority of people of working age redundant!
Maintaining a large – and wealthy – human population will be essential to avoid economic collapse! This because robots – like slaves – do not receive wages! Robots will receive electricity and lubricating oil in the way that slaves received food and water!
Now you see why such as The Right Honourable Sir Keir Starmer, PC, KCB, KC Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the Member for Holborn and St Pancras do not wish to discuss the issue of UFOs and UAPs!
