The unacceptable face of liberal democracy.

The above image has become well known to the viewers of GB News who tune into the current affairs programme hosted by Mr Mark Steyn. It is of Stoke Rochford Hall (Stoke Rochford, Grantham, NG33 5EJ) now a hotel, which is some five miles south of Grantham off the A1.

I personally have driven (in both directions) along that particular stretch of the A1 many many times but have to admit I’ve never visited the hall (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoke_Rochford_Hall).

Mr Steyn is not the only person to have alerted the public to the fact that the Home Office are now using the hotel to “put up” many so-called “asylum seekers” – a few of those put up may well be genuine asylum seekers fleeing persecution but most will be economic migrants seeking a better life who have taken a decision to circumvent the legal immigration route to the UK and to pay “people smugglers” to transport them to the UK via an inflatable dingy across the English Channel – one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. The local press are also on the case (https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/local-news/weddings-cancelled-lincs-hotel-told-7643716).

Mrs O’Leary has been accused (correctly) of being “Tin Eared” in her now abandoned proposal to scrap the top 45% rate of income tax amidst a cost of living crisis. Well…… whichever “genius” at the Home Office thought it would be a good idea to hire the Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel and to provide twice weekly access to a visiting GP to these migrants is equally Tin Eared!

The only political party to benefit from this sort of thing is such as Britain First (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain_First).

Clearly SOMTHING HAS TO BE DONE!

The question of course is what?

Well allow me to state my clear view on suggestions of “pushing back” or “towing back” the inflatable dingies to France. This is dangerous and it is also against International Law. Speaking from first hand experience I can inform you Dear Reader that if a seagoing vessel sights such an inflatable dingy in the sea/ocean there is an absolute duty and a requirement to render assistance which in these circumstances means doing what the Royal National Lifeboat Institution do. Rescue the migrants and take them to UK shores. No ifs! No buts!

There is also a legal duty to provide sanctuary. No ifs! No buts!

I therefore propose the following reforms – and await the “knock on the door” from Devon & Cornwall Police for a “non-crime hate incident”!

These so-called “asylum seekers” should be offered FOUR choices:

#1: A one way economy class airline ticket to their country of origin plus hotel accommodation up to the night before the flight and transportation to the airport. All the costs to be paid for by HM Government.

#2: A one way economy class airline or ferry ticket to the last safe country from which they embarked – which for most will be France, plus hotel accommodation up to the night before the flight/ferry crossing and transportation to the airport/ferry terminal. All the costs to be paid for by HM Government.

#3: A one way economy class airline ticket to Kigali in Rwanda, plus hotel accommodation up to the night before the flight and transportation to the airport. All the costs to be paid for by HM Government.

#4: To remain in the UK whilst their asylum claim is processed.

So what is so controversial (insofar as the average Guardian reader) is concerned? We hear you ask!

Because a MALE migrant opting for choice #4 will no longer receive any financial support whatsoever from HM Government and local authorities!

This will mean that ALL those hotels housing these people will be closed – EXCEPT for women and unaccompanied children. Unaccompanied children will be those children who are – in the opinion of an immigration officer – under the age of 16.

All government detention centres housing such migrants will also be closed.

This will mean those MALE migrants over the age of 16 will have to rely on their own resources (or that of friends, relatives or supporters) to maintain themselves!

This will mean a HUGE reduction on the burden now being borne by the hard pressed UK taxpayer!

Those migrants charged with a criminal offence will be summarily deported to their country of origin or Rwanda.

Now, to all those outraged members of the PC brigade who are now jamming the phone lines of the non emergency 101 service, it has to be restated that the MALE migrant does not have to fend for himself on the streets! He has the other three options!

The result of this police will NOT significantly reduce the numbers of migrants coming to the UK!

What it WILL do is to significantly reduce the burden on the hard pressed UK taxpayer!

Be in now doubt, large numbers of wealthy “well-to-do” members of the PC brigade will put their hands deeply into their pockets and purses to finance these migrants!

What IS however most important is that the hard pressed UK taxpayer no longer has to support these men!

It is said that many migrants have friends and relatives already living in the UK. Well these people will doubtless “put them up”, providing food and shelter. At no cost to the hard pressed UK taxpayer!
