Reality Bites! (At least for some people!)

Above left, with a guide price of £41,000,000 there is a terraced property with seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. Situated in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea it has the added attraction of Freehold tenure! (URL: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/124567778#/) – the address being; 4 Pitt Street, London W8 4NX.

Above right, 202 miles away (via M1 and M6) for those whose budget is somewhat less, the estate agent suggesting offers in excess of £75,000, there is a terraced property with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Situated in the northern part of Widnes, Cheshire, this too benefits from Freehold tenure! (URL: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/125271728#/) – the address being; 4 Fir Street Widnes, WA8 6QZ.

Clearly, it will be apparent to all those outside the leadership campaign team of Mrs O’Leary (and Mrs O’Leary herself) who will be aware that the ability to pay the grossly inflated energy bills due to arrive in customers inboxes in 2023 (MMXXIII for Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg [one of Mrs O’Leary’s supporters]) will reside more in those purchasing #4 Pitt Street than those purchasing #4 Fir Street!

It is most certainly the case that those such as Ben van Beurden, CEO of Shell,

(above) is aware of this! To this end Mr van Beurden, along with his fellow CEOs in the affected companies are putting their collective heads together and trying to come up with a plan!

You see, such as Mr van Beurden realise that in order to remain solvent, a business must have a product that it is affordable to it’s customers! Of course this FACT is obvious to most persons who are officially assessed as being mentally capable of managing their own affairs! Unfortunately, Mrs O’Leary – who is in the process of being elected as managing the affairs of the United Kingdom – appears to be lacking some mental capacity!

Therefore in an attempt to try and convince Mrs O’Leary and her fellow Tories of the facts of financial life let me try and do so:

Imagine you are attempting to sell a new Rolls Royce Phantom VIII (below).

If you were other than Mrs O’Leary, presumably you would adjudge that the occupants of #4 Pitt Street are far more likely to be able to purchase a brand new Phantom VIII that would the occupants of 4 Fir Street!

It would not be likely the case that the occupants of 4 Fir Street did not like the car – they would likely point out (to such as Mrs O’Leary) that their only chance of purchasing the vehicle would be that their lottery ticket would come up and give them sufficient millions to make the purchase!

The excellent Doctor Richard North has commented upon this situation in his blog-post today (https://www.turbulenttimes.co.uk/news/front-page/energy-getting-the-money/) in which he described the plan and comments upon the situation generally.
