Power without responsibility: Prostitutes and the press.

Above, a depressing record.
The British Gazette espouses some unpopular causes. This is why it is ignored. Those who the Editor is associated with do not want their association made known. For obvious reasons.
Before the British Gazette, my “political website” was drive-the-flag.org.uk.
GOTO: http://www.british-gazette.co.uk/drive-the-flag/
The Drive the Flag campaigned because it was reported by the Daily Mail. The result of course was that the DM claimed the Blair government’s climb down was down to “their campaign”.
This form of misrepresentation had been carried out by the DM for decades.
After the end of the campaign, I continued with the website and it developed into a virulently critical website of the “never to be sufficiently damned abomination that is the European Union of the Cities and the Regions.”
On 21st October 2009 the British Gazette was launched and the drive the flag site is no more. Some of it’s content has been incorporated on this site.
One of the causes this organ endorses is the campaign to legalise prostitution.
GOTO: http://www.british-gazette.co.uk/prostitution-should-we-make-it-legal/
We support calls for the legalisation, by a process of licensing and registration and medical and Enhanced DBS checks for all the parties involved (the clients, the prostitutes and the brothels, their owners and non sex worker staff). This we believe should be as an exemption to a tough “sex buyer law” attached in a schedule to such an act.
These calls of course are condemned by all of the tabloid newspapers and as such, those in political parties are not happy to be associated with the Editor.
For a long time now, the DM along with other British tabloids has had it in for the EU.
Before the 2016 Brexit referendum, a Nelsonian blind eye was turned to the level of misrepresentation indulged in by the British tabloids. However, the referendum changed all that. This was because at the start of the campaign, there was a possibility that the Leaver campaign would win and therefore it was necessary to have a plan in place to deliver the goods – Brexit without crashing the economy!
Tragically, this did not happen!
Now we appear to facing the consequences of the Leavers misrepresentations!
The tabloid press will of course refuse to accept any responsibility! Instead they will (along with UKIP) will blame the EU!
This does not appear to end well.
