Pope Francis: “Climate Change Deniers be damned!”

Above, the late Sir Christopher Lee in the role that he made his own: Count Dracula.
According to the leaked Papal encyclical, Pope Francis singles out such as your Editor for special condemnation!
Presumably he suggests that your Editor and those others who declare that the idea that CO2 is a problem are guilty of the unpardonable sin as cited in Matthew 12. verse 32:
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
What this Pope is doing of course is to conflate two issues, one of which is real and the other imagined.
The real issue and one which the Pope appears to be concerned about is world poverty and the inequitable distribution of wealth between members of the human race.
His concerns on this matter are justified and well placed. There is very great inequality not just in income but in the basics such as infant mortality, overall life expectancy. These differences are very great. Even those who would consider themselves on the poverty line in countries of Northern Europe are wealthy when compared to so many in countries like Somalia and Mali.
The imaginary issue is that an increase above the present level – approx 400 part per million (for a precise figure GOTO: http://co2now.org/) or one two thousand five hundredth of CO2 in the atmosphere is in some way a problem and a threat to humanity.
What of course is NOT imaginary are the thousands of wind turbines erected by deluded souls such as Amber Rudd. Far from helping to reduce poverty and redistribute income from the wealthy to the poor, these monstrosities do precisely the opposite!
Allow us to quote another biblical passage, this time from the Old Testament: Numbers 32 verse 23:
But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.
Presumably your Editor and Pope Francis will have to wait till Judgement Day to see who is right.
