With the mainstream media fixating about an event a year old, little attention is being given to a potentially nightmare situation in Europe affecting the UK.

It is possible that President Putin is considering an invasion of the Ukraine and is working on the basis that a dramatic reduction in gas supplies will cause the EU and the UK to concentrate on their own difficulties and not Ukraine’s.
It is also possible that if war breaks out in Eastern Europe and the EU and the UK are in crisis, the Chinese make seize the opportunity to “do something” about Taiwan.
Whatever happens outside the borders of the UK, it is what happens inside that will determine the future!
Curiously both President Putin and Boris Johnson are gambling on the weather!
President Putin is hoping for no wind to make life difficult for the EU and UK insofar as lack of wind produced electricity is concerned. Mr Johnson of course is hoping for precisely the opposite!
If there is a cascade failure as described by Doctor North and the area affected is inside the M25, all bets are off! The chances are that the civil disturbances will be such that the government will fall.
A “National Government” could be formed which in effect would be an emergency collation between the Conservative and Labour parties. Boris Johnson would resign and a new PM – from the left of the Tory Party – would be appointed.
This has happened before – during WW2!
Essentially it would be a government of the most left wing Tories and the Blairite MPs. Expect the Chancellor of the Exchequer to be a Labour MP! Sir Kier Starmer will likely be Deputy Prime Minister. He will unlikely make the mistake made by Mr Clegg of not taking up a major Department of State.
The biggest decisions the National Government will have to take will be those necessary to get the UK out of a very deep hole!
After the fire-fighting efforts have been done the government will have to consider what to do about the Green Agenda.
It is likely they will suspend the climate change legislation and regulation – probably for ten years. In order to enable investment however they will have to indicate to those wishing to invest that their investments will pay off long term. This means repeal of the Climate Change Act NOT suspension!
With the writing on the wall they may do just that. If they do expect the grand coalition to double down and introduce a long list of wokery onto the statute book! They will do this in an attempt to placate all their left wing climate change activists. Likely things will be a “Racial Justice Act” – which will introduce “community compensation” to the descendants of the victims of slavery. Expect also a “Citizens Assemblies Act” which will allow for the creation of such to propose new statutes and policy to government. Expect much more devolution. We may get a Regional Assemblies Act. These will likely be elected using the same method as employed in Wales. Expect a Culture, Statues and Monuments Act which will enable wokeists to get statues, street names and memorials in cathedrals, churches and other public places removed if the deceased persons upset them! Expect lots of quangos with highly paid Chief Executives drawn from the wokeists.
Most of all expect a radical new approach to housing! Private landlords will face a new Tenant Act! Local authorities will be allowed to compulsory purchase land and build social housing. Second homes will be very highly taxed. Planning permission will be required for holiday lets and Air B&B lettings.
Most of all, expect a reform of the BBC and the TV licence! Expect the establishment of a “Viewers and Listeners Council” which will oversee the BBC. Expect an annual government grant over which the council will have a say. The council will of course be made up of wokeists so expect the BBC to become even more diverse! The BBC will abandon it’s green agenda and adopt the woke agenda with the zeal of a convert! Expect very woke dramas in future!
What do I think?
ALL of this will be NEARLY worth it IF – AND ONLY IF – the grand coalition abandons the Green Agenda and with it the suicidal policy of “Net Zero” and the folly called “De-carbonisation”!
The best and most politically doable way is to set about the construction of Ultra-Supercritical & Advanced Supercritical Technology for a new generation of coal-fired power stations – using UK Coal!

You see there are a great deal of well to do middle class graduate educated persons of liberal and left wing opinions who are White British. These are the folk you see lying in the road stopping traffic. These people will be incandescent with rage at the abandonment of policies they think are saving the Earth from becoming uninhabitable!
