Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

This well known phrase was first coined by the Italian author Laurentius Abstemius in his collection of 100 fables, the Hecatomythium, during the 1490s It was adapted into English by Roger L’Estrange in 1692. The image (click to enlarge) for the article is the famous cartoon illustrating the phrase from Puck by Louis Dalrymple urging American intervention in Cuba in 1898.
Judging from the report in today’s Guardian newspaper below:
(GOTO: http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/oct/20/ukip-does-deal-with-far-right-to-save-european-grouping)
Nigel Farage seems to be in danger of doing just that. The report states that Polish MEP Robert Iwaszkiewicz is to join the EFDD’s ranks as an individual therefore restoring its membership to the vital 25 in order to restore EU funding.
The question every UKIP supporter should ask is this: Is an association with Mr. Iwaszkiewicz worth £1 million a year?
The problem is clear: By taking the EU’s money UKIP are being forced to play the game by the EU’s rules! Which is the whole point of the exercise.
