Mr. Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change will doubtless be delighted to hear that he has a new enthusiastic supporter. None other than that dearly beloved son of the Arabian sands, Osama bin Laden, leader of al-Qaeda.
It seems that the articulations of our benighted minister and his colleagues have registered in the mind of bin Laden who has condemned George Bush, the former US president, for rejecting the Kyoto pact.
The al-Qaeda leader stated: “This is a message to the whole world about those responsible for climate change and its repercussions – whether intentionally or unintentionally – and about the action we must take. Speaking about climate change is not a matter of intellectual luxury – the phenomenon is an actual fact.”
Mr. bin Laden proposes that the world should cease to use the U.S. Dollar and attempt the economic destruction of the U.S.A. and the global trade system. Clearly he has embarked on a different strategy to achieve the same end. Destruction of the western way of life.
