Not such a gay day in Cromer then!

Above, the controversial NT film narrated by Stephen Fry.
Felbrigg Hall is a 17th-century English country house lying outside the village of that name, one and a half miles or so south east of Cromer on the North Norfolk coast.
The house was the seat of the Wyndham family until the last owner, Mr Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer left it to the National Trust in his will.
Over the past week a furore has erupted on the formerly tranquil lawns at Felbrigg. The new owners, the oh so politically correct National Trust have found many of their volunteers – without whom the NT would be completely unable to open it’s houses and other visitor attractions – resigning or refusing to work. Why? Because the salaried PC management have instructed these good folk to wear badges promoting the “Gay agenda.”
Happily, the NT have backed down and are no longer instructing it’s volunteers to wear the badges in dispute but now suggest that this is voluntary.
In the above NT video the narrator Stephen Fry “outs” Mr Wyndham Ketton-Cremer as a homosexual and ventures to suggest the late owner would approve!
Mr Fry has no evidence at all to sustain this belief. The organisers of this campaign state they wish to draw attention to the lives of people who challenged convention.
However, all evidence shows that Mr Wyndham Ketton-Cremer never challenged or sort to challenge anything related to the subject. Mr Wyndham Ketton-Cremer was, his outraged relatives state, an intensely private man and would never have approved to the above video.
Of course, the NT is not alone. The Red Cross sacked it’s volunteer Mr Bryan Barkley for his views on “same sex marriage”. GOTO: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2816610/Red-Cross-volunteer-71-axed-gay-marriage-protest-Pensioner-told-no-longer-welcome-charity-views-incompatible-values.html
These PC despots should realise a certain FACT of life: Change is constant. Those of us who live by the coast are made aware of this every day. The tide comes in. The tide goes out. At NO point is the tide ever stationery! As it is with the oceans and the seas, so it is with human society. This is because, like the tide, human society is ALWAYS changing. Every second of every day a person dies and another person is born. These people reach adulthood (and take an active part in the world) and reach senility or die and cease to take an active part in the world. Collectively, through many millions of unique different personalities, human society changes.
Today, the agenda that Mr Fry is such an eloquent proponent of appears to be in the ascendency. But that is in the here and now. Given the rapid demographic changes occurring across western Europe, this is set to change and sooner than many people think!
Many who would ascribe to themselves the labels that Mr Fry mentions should be aware of this. This year, many are celebrating the passing of the Sexual Offences Act 1967. They should be aware that IF the present demographic trend continues, then is is extremely unlikely that there will be ANY commemoration in fifty years time in 2067! It is far more likely that by then homosexuality will have been re-criminalised.

  1. It is high time that Political Correctness was given, what I believe should be its correct interpretation, that of Political Corruption,
For is that not what the minority ‘liberal elite’, this bastion of intolerance towards we who do not agree with them, is in fact working to do, corrupt our very thinking and speech?
