Lib-Dem tax policy: resurrect the Star Chamber.

The above image is of the Star Chamber. The Court of Star Chamber was an English court of law that sat in the Palace of Westminster until 1641. It was so called as the hearings were held in the Star Chamber. Court sessions were held in secret, with no indictments, no right of appeal, no juries, and no witnesses. Evidence was presented in writing. The function of the Court of Star Chamber was to act like a court of equity, which could impose punishment for actions which were deemed to be morally reprehensible, but not in violation of the letter of the law. This flexibility meant it could punish offenders for any action which the court felt should be illegal even when in fact it was technically legal. It also meant that the “justice” imposed by the Star Chamber could be very arbitrary and subjective and was as an instrument of oppression rather than an instrument of justice.
Anyone who doubted that the traitors masquerading as the government of an independent country called the U.K. were not planning to introduce all the rigours of the police state will surely now realise that this is exactly what these Quislings have in store for us.
Their latest plan is to massively increase the tax take by the following means:
1. Increase from 5,000 a year to 150,000 a year the number of people subject to tax investigation. IMPORTANT NOTE: Most people investigated by the tax authorities are chosen at random.
2. Imposing a target for gaining an extra £8 of tax revenue from £1 spent.
3. To achieve this by the use of polygraph machines – commonly but mistakenly called “lie detectors.”
4. By seeking to remove the restriction between “tax evasion” which is illegal and “tax avoidance” which is legal. Messrs. Clegg and Alexander are on record as stating that both illegal evasion AND legal avoidance are unacceptable.
This raises a number of very important issues:
Clearly, the policy is to seek to raise as much money as possible. The introduction of polygraph testing is going to mean new primary legislation requiring individuals to undergo such. This will either be similar to the alcohol breath test currently a legal requirement where either refusal or failure to complete a breath test is a criminal offence – or more likely to be treated as an admission of guilt and will allow the revenue to impose a bill for extra tax of its own reckoning requiring the victim to appeal through the courts – at their expense – but with the assumption that they are guilty. In other words they will have to prove the revenue’s claims untrue.
– If these felons intend to carry through their plan to remove the distinction between legal avoidance and illegal evasion it will require legislation to resurrect such as the Star Chamber.
There may be those readers who would say that an honest taxpayer has nothing to fear from a polygraph test. This is not true. According to Mr. Douglas Williamson a 35-year veteran polygraph evaluator:
“It is a very serious mistake to believe that you will pass your polygraph or CVSA tests just because you are telling the truth – they are not “lie detectors”. Scientific research proves that simple nervousness will cause a truthful person to fail!”
Clearly then, many thousands of honest innocent people are going to fail these tests (just because they are nervous!) and will then be faced with paying an unjustly inflated tax bill or face and expensive and uphill battle through the courts to overturn the demand. Is this how a visit to the tax inspector will look like in future?
If these traitors are intent in subjecting innocent Britons to polygraph testing the British Gazette has a suggestion. Messrs. Clegg and Alexander should first have it tested on themselves. Herewith a suitable question:
You are a Privy Councillor. Do you realise that by accepting the authority of the European Union and its Directives you have broken your oath to: “…..bear Faith and Allegiance to the Queen’s Majesty; and will assist and defend all civil and temporal Jurisdictions, Pre-eminences, and Authorities, granted to Her Majesty and annexed to the Crown by Acts of Parliament, or otherwise, against all Foreign Princes, Persons, Prelates, States, or Potentates. And generally in all things you will do as a faithful and true Servant ought to do to Her Majesty so help you God”?
Their answers should prove most insightful!

  1. Presumably they would have to find evidence to show that you had lied and with such evidence prosecute through the law courts?. Even so, what a state we are getting in to. There is one police force who encourage motorists to call a confidential hot line about any motoring offences they witness. I imagine this is a great tool with which to harass anyone with whom you have a dispute. Madness at best, very unpleasant.
