Gary Lineker: In the PC Doghouse!

There are some images that are immediately recognisable as iconic. This of Chloe Kelly running with her shirt off is one such.

After decades of waiting, England can finally celebrate victory in a major international soccer tournament, as Miss Chloe Maggie Kelly scored a 109th-minute game-winner to defeat Germany, 2-1, in the women’s European Championship at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The victory by England’s women was greeted (in England) with many cheers. Those of us who watched the match will have felt great pleasure as Miss Kelly scored the winning goal.

One of those was a certain Mr Gary Lineker. Mr Lineker issued his reaction on Twitter. Being inventive, he penned, “Kelly is England’s heroine, bra none.”

“Oh Dear! Oh Dear! Oh Dear!!!!!”

You see the Unfortunate Lineker has now been branded a “misogynist” and a “sexist”.

This for the Unfortunate Lineker is potentially very serious as he makes a healthy living with the BBC.

Meanwhile as the Unfortunate Lineker has been sent to the dog-house, the BBC is celebrating the comments from the PC women contributors on the same spectacle: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62376808

Meanwhile, it appears the German tabloid Bilt is fuming about their team’s defeat! They are crying foul!

The fact of the matter is this: There is “history” between the English and German football teams. And it has nothing to do with football!!!!!

Let us not forget that on 31st July, 1914 reacting to the Austrian attack on Serbia, Russia mobilised. Germany demanded it stop. The next day 1st August, 1914, Germany declared war on Russia. The Great War began.

It is very very sad but the fact is that history hangs heavy over any football match betwixt England & Germany.
