Brisbane: the need for an eleventh commandment.

Above: Rembrandt’s 1659 portrayal of Moses having received the Ten Commandments.
It appears that the Almighty was mistaken. When He handed to Moses the Ten Commandments, He clearly assumed in His infinite wisdom that these would suffice. In the light of the recent experience of the city of Brisbane, it appears He overestimated the intelligence of His creation.
For the record, the original ten are:
I. I am the Lord thy God; Thou shalt have no other gods before me
II. Thou shalt not make for thyself an idol
III. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain
IV. Thou shalt remember the Sabbath and keep it holy
V. Thou shalt honour thy father and thy mother
VI. Thou shalt not kill
VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery
VIII. Thou shalt not steal
IX. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
X. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife or covet thy neighbour’s goods
It appears He should have added an eleventh:
XI. Thou shalt not build thy dwelling house on a flood plain.
British Gazette readers will note that the Brussels Brainwashing Commissariat (aka the BBC) has lost no time in trying to point the finger of blame for the devastating Australian floods on the amount of CO2 humanity produces. Of course they have had to acknowledge the cause is La Nina. This does not stop them however from trying to imply that CO2 is lurking behind the scenes.
Of course they are wrong.
Far from being a “freak weather event” as the BBC has described it; these floods are in fact nearly a foot below the level of 1974 and 10 feet below the level of 1893.
Why the destruction? Because the Australian’s Glow-Bull-Warnists have been telling the politicians that “the danger” posed by “global warming” (aka “climate change”) is not flooding but droughts. As a result the planning authorities in Brisbane allowed building on the flood plain! When a member of the Brisbane River Flood Study suggested this was a foolish policy they were ignored and their warning kept secret.
