Brexit: Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat!

Above, the “People’s Vote” March in London, 21st October 2018.
If the disembodied spirit of the never to be sufficiently damned Archtraitor Heath had managed to crawl out of the hottest furnace in the deepest pit in Hell – in which the burning sulphur had HTP (High Test Peroxide) pumped into it to give the Archtraitor the experience of the “white heat” of the British People’s retribution – to view the demo a couple of days ago he would have cheered!
Why?
Well Dear Reader cast your mind back to the time BEFORE the start of the EU Referendum process and BEFORE the Chameleon went around the capitals of Europe with his begging bowl. Then ask yourself this?
How prevalent was the “Golden Garrotte” [aka EU flag] in the UK?
Answer: Not very prevalent at all!
Why: Because the Europhiles knew how unpopular the idea of their beloved never to be sufficiently damned abomination that is the European Union of the Cities and the Regions was!
How things have changed!
Recently, at one of his speeches (https://youtu.be/5gJFsAGOsrc), Nigel Farage spoke of how, after the referendum vote, Herr Juncker put his arm around him in a friendly way and then spoke the word, “Bastard!”
Since that time however the EU clearly has taken a leaf from Robert Francis “Bobby” Kennedy’s book of quotations as they have clearly decided upon the strategy: “Don’t get mad. Get even!”
In this quest they have been helped, either through incompetence or malign intent by Madam Mayhem.
In his blog-post (http://eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=87030) the same day as the Remainer demo, the excellent Doctor North pointed out that there effectively was no time for a second referendum. In his subsequent blog-posts (http://eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=87031 and http://eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=87032) he describes in his usual thorough analytical detail precisely how far off the beaten track of reality this seeming incompetent Prime Minister is.
However, we will repeat what we wrote in yesterday’s article: It is the view of this organ that Madame Mayhem and her cabinet colleagues have gone insane OR; Madame Mayhem and her cabinet colleagues are committing treason by making such a cock up that when Parliament forces a second referendum, the people will vote the way Herr Juncker wants them to – remain in the EU!
What one must do is to look closely at the politics of the situation and not just the commercial, economic, financial, industrial and trading realities of the situation.
Therefore let us so look:
On one side of the Commons chamber we have the government benches occupied by the Tories. The Tories are trying to figure out how to get through this minefield that was laid by the voters when they voted for Brexit without being sunk. The Tories like any political party want to win the next general election on 5th May 2022.
On the opposition benches we have Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition led by Comrade Corbyn and assisted by Comrade McDonnell. These two long-standing members of the Karl Marx Appreciation Society are hoping to force/manoeuvre Madame into loosing a NCM (No Confidence Motion) leading to a general election and a majority Labour government.
Comrade Corbyn’s plan is this:
#1: Force/manoeuvre Madame into loosing a NCM and bring about a general election.
#2: Win general election and form majority Labour government.
#3: Go to Brussels and ask for an Article 50 time period extension in order to negotiate a “jobs Brexit”!
Of course, Madame Mayhem and Monsieur Barnier disagree on many things but they are agreed that to have Messrs. Corbyn and McDonnell occupying #10 and #11 Downing Street would not be a good thing.
As a result it appears that both sides are using the clock. As Monsieur Barnier has reminded us on many occasions, “The clock is ticking!”
It is! As of today, “Brexit Day” is 158 days away!
What appears to be happening is that either independently of the other or in a malign intent together, Madame and Monsieur Barnier are working towards the same goal: To present a situation where there is no time to organise either a general election or a referendum before the UK crashes out of the EU without a deal!
This will mean that the UK government will have to ask the EU for a time extension to Article 50 in order to facilitate either a general election or a second referendum!
And there you have it!
You see, Monsieur Barnier and the rest of the EU do not want to see comrades Corbyn and McDonnell occupying #10 and #11 Downing Street! Therefore under the reasonable pretext of wishing to see the Brexit issue definitely resolved one way or the other the EU will AGREE to an Article 50 extension for the specific purpose of holding a second referendum but will NOT AGREE to an Article 50 extension for the specific purpose of holding another general election! They will of course point out the obvious: that a general election will cause the voters to vote about many issues. A second referendum however will cause the voters to vote on the specific issue of Brexit!
This is of course why Mr Farage is wholly correct to point out the betrayal of Brexit.
Where Mr Farage is incorrect is to suggest that there is some Shangri-La existing for a UK leaving the EU without a deal achieving the Nirvana of trading on WTO terms!
At the moment, a meeting in November appears to be off. There appears to be a meeting in December. At some point – possibly as late a February 2019 – either the Remainers in Parliament will seek an Article 50 extension or the EU will offer one for the purposes of a second referendum.
If a NCM (in HMG) is carried in the Commons then the EU will doubtless take off the gloves and point out that there will be no A50 time extension for a general election but there will be for a second referendum. This will present the Labour Party with the prospects of ending up with a no deal Brexit should they persist.
What the Tories will be hoping for is that should the voters vote Remain, in say May 2019, they will have three years to forget the chaos that ensured before!
As Harold Wilson was supposed to have said: “A week is a long time in politics!”
Should a second referendum happen and Brexit is cancelled the EU will have scored a huge victory! They will have effectively spiked the anti-EU forces in one of the EU’s most Eurosceptic members.
