Bradford cathedral: A den of thieves?

Above (click on image for full size) is El Greco’s interpretation of Christ driving the traders from the Temple. Below is a video kindly provided by the Telegraph & Argus, the local paper of the City of Bradford in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Keen to save money and also the planet the Diocese of Bradford have seen fit to install solar panels on the cathedral roof.
Since the income the diocese will receive from these will be from the poor and the elderly who cannot afford the thousands of pounds required to indulge in this fraud, the British Gazette will defer in its criticism to the highest authority:
Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 12, verses 12 and 13:
12. And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13 and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
British Gazette comment: We don’t think there is anything more to be said.
