Be prepared!

Above, a diagram of what our US readers describe as “the two party system” which our British readers understand to be “the First Past the Post” system.
Today’s title is of course the Scout’s Motto.
“The scouts’ motto is founded on my initials, it is:
BE PREPARED,
which means, you are always in a state of readiness in mind and body to do your DUTY;
Be Prepared in Mind by having disciplined yourself to be obedient to every order, and also by having thought out beforehand any accident or situation that might occur, so that you know the right thing to do at the right moment, and are willing to do it.
Be Prepared in Body by making yourself strong and active and able to do the right thing at the right moment, and do it.

– Lieut. Gen. Baden Powell C.B., Scouting for Boys (1908), “Camp Fire Yarn.—No. 4. Scout Law.” (Part I, p. 48)
Baden Powell formed the Scouts (for boys – not girls) with a clear intention to prepare teenage boys for entry into the British Army upon them reaching the age of 18. It must be remembered that this was in the period before the Great War and tensions were building.
Today, Brexiteer, Jeff Taylor has published another YouTube video.
Herewith:It makes interesting and informative viewing.
As Mr Taylor makes his broadcast the members of two political parties are taking part in a leadership election. Most Britons will know of one: The Tories are choosing between Boris the Buffoon and Hopeless Hunt. The members of UKIP are also taking part in a leadership campaign one with Barrack Room Batten seeking another term of office.
Sadly, for the many dedicated UKIP members, UKIP features as one of the “others” in Mr Taylor’s graphs. This through no fault of their own of course!Sadly, politics, as in marketing, is decided by a phenomenon known as “public recognition”. Which is the reason for our inclusion of the famous publicity photograph of Raquel Welch from the movie, “One Million Years BC”.
You see, around the time of this movie, Raquel Welch was paid US $ 500,000 for a day’s work advertising Coca-Cola. This was an extraordinary sum for the time but such was the recognition that Raquel Welch had, the directors of the firm judged it was money well spent.
It was “public recognition” that caused the many voters to vote for the Farage Fan Club (aka the Brexit Party) rather than UKIP – who had the same Brexit policy platform.
What is clear from the figures Mr Taylor presents is that if the Buffoon wants to have any chance of retaining the tenure of #10 after a general election he must reach an accommodation with Famous Farage. It should be obvious to these two men that an electoral pact with the Brexit Party will stand a good chance of defeating a Labour Party lead by Comrade Corbyn. This is because another “Lib-Lab pact” is unlikely as Comrade Corbyn and the Corbynistas are unlikely to give up on their wish to implement “Clause 4 socialism”.
For the Buffoon and Famous to have ANY chance of success a general election would have to take place BEFORE Thursday 31st October 2019. The last date in the diary would be Thursday 24th October 2019.
Let us wait and see.
