In ancient Roman religion and myth, Janus is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces. The month of January is named for Janus (Ianuarius).
In the popular mind, Janus is regarded as the depiction of being “two faced” and if asked to pick a politician that could best have the moniker “Janus” applied to them it would be the man who has collected so many of late: “Kneeler” “Two Tier” “Keir Stalin” for examples!
It is therefore good timing that the BBC has published these two reports regarding Mr Trump and Sir Keir Starmer.

The above reports suggest to me that a form of a “verbal non-aggression pact” has occurred between the two administrations (Trump & Starmer) – basically; “I’ll refrain from saying critical things about you and offer complementary comments instead if you’ll do the same for me!”
I would suggest that if this is the case, Sir Keir Janus Starmer is making a large larger rod for his back that Mr Trump is making for his!
Refraining from criticising “Two Tier” “Stalin” from locking up Britons convicted of making inappropriate comments on “Social Media” is not going to cost Mr Trump much if anything in political capital with an electorate most of whom have no idea who Sir Keir Starmer is and what is his job!
Conversely of course, there is hardly an adult in the UK who does not know who Donald Trump is and insofar as the overwhelming majority of adult Britons who do know who Donald Trump is almost all will have an opinion about the statesman!
From this “non-aggression pact” I think it is safe to say that the Chagos deal with Mauritius is off!
Should President Trump take action insofar as Greenland and the Panama Canal are concerned, “Kneeler” is going to be in very great difficulty!
