Waking up to the smell of coffee!

Websites, like motor cars, require regular maintenance. The lack of such causes both to cease to function properly.
One of the great advantages of having a WordPress blog as opposed to other kinds is that this maintenance is carried out by experts – those persons in charge of the hosting web sever, In other words, people who know what they are doing and NOT your Editor!
However, one such task “yours truly” has from time to time to attend to is to see that all links on the Links page still work! This because it is the nature of the internet that websites come and websites go – with great regularity.
Recently I updated the aforesaid page to make sure all links were valid and to add three more. These were the websites of political parties. The parties on the page are divided into two sections. Establishment parties and Non establishment parties. These distinctions DO NOT relate to the size of their vote or the size of their membership. The establishment parties are those parties which the Brussels Brainwashing Commissariat are happy with and the non establishment parties are those parties which the Brussels Brainwashing Commissariat are NOT happy with!
In their role as the Bullshit Broadcasting Collective, this particular SPA (State Propaganda Agency) regularly regale their listeners with tales of imminent doom for Planet Earth and all who live on what correctly should be referred to by the object pronoun “it” but what many Green Zealots refer to as “Her” capitalising the pronoun to indicate a deity – which many refer to as the mythical goddess “Gaia.”
Now at this point, my politically correct critics – of which there are many living in my locality – will seek to take me to task for seeming to belittle and disregard the belief systems of those who do worship the planet Earth.
Well, a word of strong advice to these people: Don’t! Worship things which are not deities that is! This if course means anything other than the Almighty Himself!
We would refer them to no less than eight references to this in the Old Testament and a further seven references in the New Testament.

The Financial Times (https://www.ft.com/) reported that the Russian oil company Rosneft is critical of BP and Royal Dutch Shell of seeking to become involved in “renewables” the so called “green energy” which of course was the topic of yesterday’s post.
The FT referred to Rosneft as a “…..Kremlin-controlled oil company…..”
A word of advice to the FT: There are NO SUCH THINGS as Russian oil companies that are not controlled by the Kremlin! ALL major oligarchs have to follow the advice of President Putin. The consequences of not doing so is not recommended!
It would appear that President Putin is becoming increasingly alarmed at the state of developments re the oil and gas industries. Given Russia’s dependence on oil and gas revenues that is not surprising.
Whilst the idiot who sits as the Member for the borough constituency of Kingston and Surbiton (to whom we referred to in yesterday’s post) may regard the transition to a “carbon free energy economy” with alacrity, it is certain that President Putin does not!
Of course, President Putin will not be too downhearted. He – unlike Kingston and Surbiton’s idiot member – knows that battery powered electric passenger aircraft are a ludicrous notion whilst the aforementioned idiot is of another opinion entirely! President Putin knows that for the foreseeable future, if people want to fly in heavier than air craft other than gliders they will require aviation spirit! The cheapest of which comes out of the ground and not from harvested crops!
