Above the choir of the Red Army performing “Va, Pensiero” (“Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves”) from Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco” at a concert in Paris in December 2003 – the relevance of which to this article will soon become apparent.
We are indebted to a local British Gazette reader for notifying us of a planned protest march in Penzance organised by Mr Andrew George, the Liberal Democrats and others for Saturday 9th July at 10:30 AM. It is called the “March for the Next Generation”. Their website states:
Our intention is for a peaceful, positive, and inclusive march from St John’s Hall, down Market Jew Street, and to the Conservative HQ at Wharfside. People are in disbelief that Cornwall voted to leave, as we receive so much EU funding. This is a voice for the 48% and anyone else who feels we deserve a better future. For anyone who agrees with these follow sentiments – please join us:
– Stand up to xenophobia.
– Stand up to the far right.
– Stand up for the next generation.
– Stand up for the unity of the UK.
– Stand up for the environment.
– Stand up for Jo Cox.
The last point is of course a clear attempt (bordering on defamation?) to seek to capitalise on Mrs Cox’s assassination by trying to link it to those campaigning for Brexit.
What this march demonstrates is that the Remainians are not just going to lie down and accept Brexit. They are going to mount as powerful resistance as they can.
It should be a clear as day that they wish to see the direction of the UK’s political travel reversed and for the British people to march straight back into the servitude of Brussels – in contrast to the Hebrews who marched out of servitude from Egypt to the Promised Land.
In past articles such as (http://www.british-gazette.co.uk/2016/06/30/what-next/) we have warned of the danger of the Remainians trying to bring about a general election. It should be noted that the Remainians are already initiating a lawsuit over the submission of Article 50 see the report in the Guardian below.

Then we have the continuing pressure on poor Comrade Corbyn, below.

The strategy of the Remainians is plain now to see. They are seeking to persuade the trade unions that support the Labour party to persuade Comrade Corbyn to resign and John McDonnell the member for Hayes and Harlington not to stand in his place and for both men to allow the election of Angela Eagle or a Blairite member of the party as leader. This is the essential first stage in their strategy to return the UK into the prison that is the EU.
NB: If they do not achieve this first stage they cannot proceed to the second stage.
The second stage is to form the decapitation pact with the Liberal Democrats (and also the Greens and Plaid Cymru). As mentioned in an earlier article, the strategy would be to oppose each Conservative party candidate with a single opposing candidate to allow the voter a clear binary choice between a candidate that supports Brexit and a candidate supporting remaining in the EU by abandoning the plan to submit Article 50.
Clearly the Liberal Democrats will be demanding the prospect of sufficient numbers of Liberal Democrats being elected to result in a virtual 50/50 coalition – this to avoid the problems they encountered in the previous coalition where they were very much the junior partners and received all the blame whilst the Tories received all the credit. The other demand will of course be proportional representation – probably STV.
Such a proposal will of course be an anathema to Comrade Corbyn and Comrade McDonnell! These grand gentlemen of the British Left will seek a majority Labour government at any general election with the intention of implementing a socialist programme of reform. The Blairites however would prefer to see another “Lib-Lab pact” as they value EU membership more than a majority Labour government.
These folk can only achieve their aim however if first Comrade Corbyn and Comrade McDonnell “throw in the towel” and sufficient Europhile Tory MP’s are prepared to vote their government down on a No Confidence Motion – the third stage! Again these Europhiles will have to prefer Europe over their own party.
