Throughout the 1 year and 3 months from Midsummer’s Day 2016, this organ has sought to be hopeful that somehow the seeming progress to national economic suicide being pursued by Madame Mayhem and now it seems aided and abetted by Comrade Corbyn was somehow a gigantic coup de théâtre put on to fool the public whilst it was worked out how to implement the Norway option aka Flexcit – the ONLY doable Brexit strategy – and survive politically.
Dr Richard North’s post (http://eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=86615) today suggests that the execution might be brought forward.
If the prospect of a crash Brexit early in the New Year was not bad enough, we now have the possibile prospect of a nuclear war being started around the same time! It is axiomatic that January and February are the wrong months in which to begin an invasion of Russia. It is also axiomatic that if one is going to START a nuclear war in the sub Arctic zone, then in the Northern Hemisphere, January and February are the months in which to begin.
Why?
In land warfare, there are essentially three methods of using nuclear weapons. In terms of radiological fallout, the least is a sub-orbital burst. This uses the EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) to disable the communications of the enemy. Then there is the air burst. This is to wreak physical destruction over a wide area. This was demonstrated in August 1945 with the bursts over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Then there is the ground burst. This in terms of radiological fallout is the “dirtiest”. Ground-burst use would be the method chosen in a pre-emptive nuclear strike as the intention will be to knock out the enemy HQ, command and control, communications bases and nuclear weapons facilities. Most of these will be hardened and the ground burst is the most effective and sure method of ensuring their destruction.
When a thermonuclear weapon is ground-burst the immediate fallout is in the form of what is known as irradiated particulate matter (IPM). Upon detonation this material is superheated and forms a radioactive plume which climbs rapidly into the upper atmosphere. It is very important to ensure that the geographical spread is limited as far as possible. The Arctic weather common on the Korean peninsular in January/February assists as the plume cools and the spread is limited.
IPM is lethal material. It is very small and when inhaled will embed itself in the lugs and give rise to cancers.
