Mr David Byrne should indeed be thanked for writing the hit Road to Nowhere (above) in 1985.
Mr Byrne’s repetitive lyrics perfectly sums up the bullshit being shovelled in the electorate’s direction by the three main parties with them repeating mantras such as “Strong and stable leadership” and “For the many not the Few.”
None of these parties address the real question: How to transition the UK from it’s present status and a semi-sovereign state to a full sovereign state without crashing the economy.
None of the manifestos address this FACT: What has taken 44 years, 4 months and 20 days (so far) to put in place CANNOT be dismantled overnight!
None of these manifestos give ANY clue as to how either of these three parties will set about doing this!
What Madam Maybe is asking of the voter is a blank cheque or carte blanche to take the UK through one of the most perilous periods since Sunday 2nd September 1945 when World War Two finally came to an end on the weather deck of the USS Missouri (BB.63).

So to the question: Which party should I vote for? There is NO sensible answer! This organ would recommend the reader to visit their polling station on 8th June out of respect for the millions of servicemen who gave their tommorrows for our todays. Your Editor will be “spoiling” his ballot paper by writing “God save the Queen” across it.
