Those voicing controversial and/or unpopular opinions must expect to come in for a lot of abuse and hectoring. Roger Helmer MEP is of course used to it by now. Thus he will be expecting the brick-bats that are going to be thrown his way.
Rather than attempt a piece by piece scientific rebuttal of the Greenies, the Editor will confine this article to asking certain questions, well basically the same one, repeated: Why?
Why, for instance do the Greens persist in their phoney arguments about the “dangers” of the trace levels of CO2 in the atmosphere? Why the nonsense about ocean acidification? Why the big scare about “acid rain” when the scientific fact is that the sulphur output from coal powered fire stations actually acts as a mild fertiliser and that in conjunction with the raised CO2 level actually HELPS and not HINDERS agriculture?

Mr Blees is not one who would agree with Mr Helmer. Far from it. Mr Blees actually thinks that Mr Hansen is a jolly good chap! In fact they (Blees and Hansen) are colleagues!
Mr Blees however is a good deal more intelligent than the deluded and unfortuante Mr Ed Davy. Mr Blees knows that wind trbines and solar power cannot provide the UK’s (or the USA’s) electricity and has been trying to persuade such as Mr Davy to adopt sensible and practical solutions for generating the UK’s electricity. The one thing that British Gazette readers can be certain of is that the British Public (and the public of the other countries of the world) are not being told things that they should be told and that their leaders are not being straight with them. Ask yourself this: Do you trust the veracity of what Mr Cameron, Mr Clegg, Mr Miliband and Mr Obama are telling you?
