A while back, there were British Gazette readers who who formed the opinion that I had taken leave of my senses when I speculated upon the existence of aliens (ETs)!
As a result I lost readers. Therefore I was delighted when I visited Tesco today to buy some porridge before tomorrow’s bank holiday when the store is closed. This because I noticed that the Daily Star/Star on Sunday were running with “an exclusive” about the possibility that the US government (and presumably other governments) would make an announcement that there had been contact (presumably remotely) with an alien (ET) civilisation!

British Gazette comment: OK then, it is The Star that is running with the story! However, IF (and it is a big “if”) the US government does announce that they (and others) have been in communication/contact with an advanced ET civilisation then I have been vindicated!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Readers well know my hypothesis! That the nonsense that CO2 is the cause of “climate change” and that drastic measures have to be taken to “save the planet” is connected with this.
I shall therefore do something that our politicians like to do: Double Down!!!!!!!!
IF there is to be contact with a highly advanced “warp capable” ET civilisation one is forced to ask: What apart from scientific discovery (us!!!!!!!!!!!!!) is in it for them?????????? And what is “in it” for us??????????
I therefore put forward this hypothesis:
That the Earthly authorities (our governments) will explain that the ETs will be able to help us fight climate change! In this they will be backed up (in a prearrangement) by the ETs themselves! Of course this will be taken as proof positive beyond all reasonable doubt by green campaigners and such as Saint Greta of Thunberg that CO2 is the cause and that the ETs are here to help us.
Now, many green campaigners have been going on for some time about the problem (increasing CO2 levels) have been chiefly caused by us (humans) not only in terms of industrial activity but by dint of our ever increasing numbers! This because it is not only beef and dairy cattle that produce certain outputs from certain quarters! Humans do too!
Thus, I expect that “the solution” offered by the ETs to we Earthlings will be a chance of a new, better more healthy, longer (much) life on one of the planets in their region of outer space! Expect reports by humans suffering from terminal diseases and/or great age to go and come back cured and/or younger waxing lyrical about the wonderful life that can be had!
Now, many BG readers will ask: Why would a highly advanced “warp capable” ET civilisation want large numbers of human migrants to their world/worlds?
Possible answer: Economics! I refer readers to Channel Four’s Sci-Fi series “Humans” (above image). The idea behind the series was that the androids were being exploited and used for dangerous work and were entirely disposable. This in reality would be nonsense! This because such an android would be enormously expensive to produce – even in large numbers. There is NO economic justification for such a construct even if it were possible to build one today (which it is not).
If one wants cheap labour there are many many humans to provide this! As long as you are not fussy about skin colour, language and religion!
In return for technology or devices to assist us here on Earth (non rechargeable car batteries that can power an electric car for say 100 to 250K miles for instance), the ET’s will offer wonderful opportunities on other planets to billions of us!
Governments will be keen to encourage those of us who cost them money – the old and the sick – to emigrate with the ETs promising to cure our aliments, diseases and infirmities and/or to rejuvenate us!
Old rich people need not apply! But probably will!
