With all the talk of palace coups about replacing Madame, the BG asks: Who would want to?
The stress of the job is colossal. Look at what it has done to Madame in just five years.
As to Dear Old Comrade Corbyn who will celebrate his three score years and ten in 63 days time, or Sad Vince of That Cable who will celebrate his three score years and sixteen in 46 days time, we would earnestly suggest that they should not try too hard to wrest the keys of #10 from Madame; for given the massively increased stress levels of the job in present circumstances, we would suggest that there is a clear possibility that they might enter #10 on their feet but leave in a wooden box!
If any more evidence was needed, we suggest a read of Doctor North’s blog-post today.

Other similarly risky occupations include flying the Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet German rocket-powered interceptor (of which there are still surviving examples). Designed by Alexander Lippisch, it took a brave man to fly it for aside from a high attrition rate in combat, many pilots were burned to death in fires caused by the corrosive and volatile fuel.
