Operation Himmler, also called Operation Konserve, consisted of a group of 1939 false flag undertakings planned by Nazi Germany to give the appearance of Polish aggression against Germany. The Germans then used propaganda reports of the events to justify their invasion of Poland, which started on 1 September 1939. Operation Himmler included the Germans staging false attacks on themselves—directed at innocent people, such as civilians and concentration camp prisoners (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Himmler).
In September 1939 the false flag operations the Nazis staged was for propaganda purposes for the League of Nations had become totally ineffective and thus there was no legal requirement in “international law” for the operations.
Today in 2026, the legal situation is completely different. The United Nations is not perfect but it is still a functioning international body and the legal hub that can be said to be the repository of what passes for “international law”.
Legally, Hitler had no problem ordering German forces to cross the Polish border on 1 September 1939.
Legally, President Trump WOULD HAVE a problem ordering US forces to invade Greenland. President Trump is already receiving “push back” from senior figures in the Pentagon who have advised him that there would be no legal case to stage an unprovoked attack on Greenland and thus, any order he may give to do so would not be legal and thus the US force personnel would be under a legal obligation NOT to follow them.
IF the MAGA firebrands are determined to have US forces invade Greenland for the reasons I outlined in yesterday’s post (https://british-gazette.com/it-is-about-legacy/), then it will be necessary for these firebrands to stage their own “false flag” operation to give a casus belli.
The legal aspects of the Greenland Crisis gives the reader a full appreciation the serious consequences of the Rubicon that President Trump and his MAGA firebrands have to cross IF they insist on pursuing this catastrophic path.
Herewith the legal FACT: IF President Trump and his MAGA firebrands wish to have US forces stage an invasion and occupation of Greenland, it will be necessary for them to provide a legally tight casus belli to provide the Chiefs of Staffs at the Pentagon a lawful basis for following their Commander-in-Chief’s orders.
Such a false flag operation would have to be substantive and not the in-substantive false flag recently staged by the Russians when they provided no evidence whatsoever that Ukraine attempted an assassination on President Putin.
Furthermore, it would have to be of a very serious nature and would have to result in physical damage and causalities. Possibly something along the lines of a bombing of the US consulate in Nuuk?
I cast this wild speculation into cyberspace NOT with any intention of encouraging such but to illustrate the terrible tragic depths of murderous deception that the MAGA firebrands would have to sink to were they to persist in their catastrophic aims!
Be sure of this: NO employee of the federal government whether in the CIA or any other agencies would be prepared to undertake such an action. Therefore the individuals would either have to be recruited from the ranks of the political extremes amongst the civilian population or employment of foreign criminals. Of course, the MAGA firebrands could make themselves the ultimate hostages of misfortune by prevailing upon the Russians to oblige! After all, it will be Russia that will gain strategically from this catastrophic enterprise!
