It is of course very common for ordinary members of the public and politically active people to label a politician or a group of politicians as “mad” or a “bunch of lunatics”. In these cases the statements are merely expressions of anger or frustration with a particular policy or politician or both.
HOWEVER:
In the case of the details reported by the BBC à propos of President Trump’s letter Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy7mev35x2lo) in relation to him not being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize – this is deeply concerning.
Herewith the text: “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper’ for the US”
Plus: “The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland”
This of course is in addition to the threatened implementation of additional tariffs (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cx2k7gv0znmt) on those countries sending military personnel to Greenland.
There is I think a silver lining to an otherwise dark international cloud; that President Trump appears to be faced with sufficient resistance from officials and military officers within the Pentagon for precipitating military action to occupy Greenland and opposition in Congress to any attempt to put through a Bill of Annexation of the same. Thus prompting his recourse to a campaign of punitive tariffs.
It is most interesting to note that Speaker of the House of Representatives, Congressman Mike Johnson will address Parliament on Tuesday, 20 January – the anniversary of President Trump’s inauguration (https://mikejohnson.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2811)
IT IS GREATLY TO BE HOPED THAT MPs WILL RESTRAIN THEIR INVECTIVE – for Speaker Johnson is third in line to the Presidency in the event of a removal from office of President Trump and Vice President Vance!
