First it was Horse Scam, now it is Ham Scam and Bacon Scam.

Above is an image of something that many British Gazette readers might have eaten. It is called Turkey Julienne.
“Hmm….” We hear you thinking aloud to yourself, “Turkey Julienne? No, I can’t remember eating that.”
Well let us ask you another question: Below is a list complied in 2009 that was said to be Britain’s top 10 pizza choices. In order:
1. Margherita
2. Pepperoni
3. Ham & Pineapple (the Hawaiian).
4. Cheese Feast
5. Meat Feast
6. Sloppy Giuseppe
7. Ham, Mushroom & Mascarpone
8. BBQ Chicken
9. Chicken & Bacon
10. Bacon & Mushroom
NB: Turkey does not appear in this “Top 10.” If you have purchased any of the above with a Ham or Bacon topping you might well have purchased a product known as Halal Turkey Julienne and if Bacon, you might well have purchased a product known as Halal Bacon, or “Beef Bacon” as it’s also sometimes called.
The motivation for this deception will have been different from those deceptions involving horse. There the motivation was clearly financial as horse meat costs one fifth that of beef. In the case of these pizza toppings, the motivation was religious as many of the take-away Pizza parlours in the UK are owned and run by Muslims.
What has been happening – for some considerable time now – is that some Muslims operating such take-aways have substituted Ham and Bacon – which the Quaran forbids them from consuming – for the above mentioned substitutes.
The problem has been that many have not told their customers of this causing these customers to purchase pizzas believing them to have a ham or bacon topping when in reality it has a turkey or beef topping.
Trading Standards Officers are aware of this deception and have visited numerous establishments, have tested the products, discovered the deception and have asked them to cease. They have told them that they have no problem with them supplying Turkey Julienne as a topping for their customers but the customers must be told that it is turkey and not ham. Many of the operators of these establishments have been reluctant pointing out to the TSOs that customers who want ham toppings on their pizzas and may well be unwilling to consider an alternative. The TSOs have been very reluctant to prosecute as they do not want to be a cause of “community tension.”
British Gazette readers might be wondering what the Muslim religion has to say about this.
Well it seems that it is okay to deceive we infidels. It is called “Taqiyya”.
Taqiyya (alternate spellings taqiyeh, taqiya, taqiyah, tuqyah) is a form of religious dissimulation, or a legal dispensation whereby a believing individual can deny his faith or commit otherwise illegal or blasphemous acts while they are at risk of significant persecution. This practice is emphasized in Shi’a Islam whereby adherents may conceal their religion when they are under threat, persecution, or compulsion [such as Trading Standards regulations and the Trade Descriptions Act].The word “Taqiyya” literally means concealing, precaution or guarding.
British Gazette comment: It is the opinion of the British Gazette that the law must be applied without fear or favour across the broad spectrum of British life. What is clear is this: If a customer orders beef or ham they must be supplied beef or ham and not horse and turkey. To knowingly supply such is fraud and fraud is a criminal offence and should be prosecuted.
“OK then?” You ask, “What should happen?”
For an answer we would refer you to a report in the Daily Telegraph below: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/foodanddrinknews/4590251/Dominos-Pizza-outlet-bans-pork-in-favour-of-halal-menu.html
The British Gazette would also suggest that any product that has been Halal slaughtered must be labelled as such. The same should apply to those foods containing genetically modified (GM) products.

  1. That video puts a whole new meaning on the phrase ‘to turn the other cheek’. I’m sure a great many people will be shocked that ANY religion promotes and encourages lies for any reason at all.
