I like to watch sci-fi. But I’m picky. I do make a point of watching British dramas as the US dramas rarely mention anything outside the USA. Most Sci-Fi tells a social story (mainly dystopian) and the spaceships and so forth is the window dressing. One of my favourites was “Blake’s 7” which was a BBC drama screened between 1978 and 1981. I have recently bought the DVD boxed set and what is now so terrifying is that I can see the seeds of the drama’s dystopia contained in the most excellent (but depressing) offering by Pete North (the Younger) on the Turbulent Times blog today!
