Or more precisely: But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out. (Numbers 32:23)
New research contradicts the IPCC’s claims about the disaster that is supposed to befall the Amazon rainforest. This research, funded by NASA, has discovered that the most serious drought in the Amazon for more than a century had little impact on the rainforest’s vegetation. The claims by the IPCC that up to 40% of the Amazon rainforest could react drastically to even a small reduction in rainfall and could see the trees replaced by tropical grassland have shown to be utterly unfounded.
The IPCC has of course “got form” following a series of scandals over reports containing factual errors and claims which were not based on rigorous scientific research. Essentially the NASA funded report found that the predicted reduction in plant life to a drought was nowhere near as what would occur in reality. There is of course a common sense and logical explanation for this – one that the propagandists of the IPCC ignored as it contradicted their own doom saying. The Amazon rainforest is one of the most diverse ecosystems on earth. It has also bee around for a long time. Over the period of its existence the earth has gone through dramatic climatic change, change which had nothing whatsoever to do with the numbers of Range Rovers been driven in Chelsea! It stands to reason that amongst the flora that thrives on frequent deluges there will be other flora that thrives on much lesser levels of rainfall. As some types of flora wither, other types flourish. This applies equally to the fauna. The earth is very old and is a wonderful self correcting and self regulation mechanism.
