Above is President Vladimir Putin, who, as well as ruling Russia appears to be dictating this formerly sovereign nation’s energy policy. The man in the corner is “Ed’” Davey, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
“The lamps are going out all over Europe. We shall not see them lit again in our time” is that famous remark from the statesman Sir Edward Grey on the eve of the First World War.
It appears that the collection of corrupt and incompetent traitors that passes for the government these days has rejected Lancashire’s shale gas as the solution to Britain’s energy crisis, conceding it will do little to cut bills or keep the lights on!
In the House of Commons, the Honourable Member for Blackley and Broughton, Graham Stringer recently asked Davey: “Will not the biggest impact on reducing domestic energy bills be achieved by bringing shale gas online as quickly as possible?”
To which this cretin replied, “I do not think so. We had a seminar at No. 10 recently, which the Prime Minister participated in, along with myself and the Business Secretary. We heard from experts in the shale gas industry who had been working in America and looking at the major opportunities in places such as Ukraine and China. They were clear that it would take some time for shale gas to be exploited in the UK. They were also clear that we needed strong regulation to proceed and that the shale gas reserves in this country are not quite as large as some people have been speculating.”
Who were these experts? You may well ask! The answer: Centrica et al. The so called “experts” advising Davey are the arch enemies of shale gas, who have failed to get a finger in the shale gas pie. This is because they are – like Russia’s Gazprom – are vigorously lobbying against it. They see their profits in danger.
The real experts of course are Cuadrilla Resources who are preparing to exploit Lancashire’s shale gas reserves. To quote Mark Miller of Cuadrilla Resources:
“…..we were not invited. Nor were we consulted about potential shale gas production in the future. I was surprised to see negative statements from people who have never seen our core data or open hole log data. They may consider getting their facts in line next time since this is such an important issue to the country…..”
British Gazette comment: Power cuts in the UK now seem as inevitable as the demise of the Euro. Replacement generating capacity – to replace the power stations that are scheduled to close due to concerns about their CO2 emissions – is simply not being built. Power cuts are probably three years away. There is not sufficient time now. The moronic traitors have left it too late. This of course will be their downfall for when the young people of this country discover that they cannot use their electronic gadgets all hell will break loose. Remember, these are children who have never had to “go without.”
Just in time for the General Election!
