One of the problems of living in a repressive state – such as the former sovereign state known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland – is that the routine level of repression exercised by the rulers day to day distorts one’s judgement and perception as to what is permissible and what is not permissible. This is a common feature of repressive regimes and it is how they exercise and maintain control over their citizens. Such domination tends to be over arching to ensure that the populace impose “self censorship” in their thoughts, statements and actions.
The extent to which a person may be subjected to this can be discovered (by that person) by removing themselves from the repressive environment they reside in.
The above You Tube video is a comical advert selling a Dyson vacuum cleaner on Canadian TV. Whilst Canada is subjected to Liberal “political correctness” it’s proximity to the USA causes a greater level of freedom of expression to be maintained than here in the UK.
If you watch the video you will realise that there is NO WAY ON THIS EARTH that Dyson would even imagine running this advert in the UK! Of course, they no it would not get past the censors! So they would not even try!
We know what the feminists would say: sexist and demeaning to women!
