Give that main subject of this post is the Great Glow-Bull Warning scam, I suspect Dear Reader that you will be pondering just how this splendid lady’s dancing relates! Read on!
The reason is related the a question I have asked many times now via this blog. A question to which there is so far no satisfactory answer coming from those would you know how to give a fulsome answer!
To repeat the question for the umpteenth time: “Why would an intelligent scientist who knows their subject continue to declare that the CO2 produced by human activity is the principle driver in causing the global temperature to rise?”
There are two possible answers:
#1: Because what the scientist is saying is correct. This of course is something that most non scientific members of the public now believe.
#2: What the scientist is saying is NOT correct. This of course begs a further set of questions! The most obvious being: Why?
At this point I have tended to enter the area that people disparagingly describe as “conspiracy theories”. Before I do however, I will focus on another area. The feelings of the scientists involved.
Assuming that which is known as anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is nonsense, any scientist peddling it cannot feel at all comfortable! Their training causes them to seek the FACTS! They are scientist who writ scientific papers. These are NOT supposed to be Works of Fiction! When they ARE we have to ask WHY?
But before we try and answer Why, let us concentrate for the present on how the scientists must feel doing this. This is why I have put the you tube video at the top of this post.
This is addressed in particular to our male readers: Now let us suppose that you were sitting in your local (US “bar”) and an eccentric billionaire with a strange sense of humour made you this wager: That if you will don a ballerina’s outfit and attempt to dance the above videoed dance in a public square at a busy time he will pay you £1 million. If however you “back out” as you have got “cold feet” and want to avoid making a fool of yourself you will pay him £1!
In other words, you stand to make £1,000,000 a life changing amount of money to most of us IF you are prepared to make a public spectacle of yourself with the downside that if you back out, you will only have to pay the billionaire £1 – a sum that you can easily afford to loose.
So the question I have to ask you Dear Sir is this: Were you to receive such an offer would you take it up and receive the £1 million?
What I am suggesting is this: That IF the reward – which need not be monetary – is large enough, the scientists will accept the terms of the wager.
I have to stress that I am NOT suggesting that this is some sort of corrupt scam to enrich the scientists in money or monies-worth.
So let us proceed to speculate as to what the rewards could possibly be!
Recently, I had to spend money I did not want to spend replacing the battery on my car – which will be three years old in June this year. The reason the battery has failed can be summed up in one word: Coronavirus. I have not been using the car as I normally would. In conversation with the service department at the main dealer the service staff spoke of “the nightmare” presented to them by electric vehicles. Suffice it to say, they are very firmly of the opinion that “EVs” are NOT practical vehicles!
So in addition to asking ourselves why scientists are talking nonsense in public, why are the politicians embarking on a policy that would appear to be disastrous for the country? These politicians will be aware that if they wreck the country the public will throw them out of office.
The logical alternatives are these:
#1: The politicians are idiots.
#2: The politicians are NOT idiots but know something that we don’t!
In other words, the politicians appear to be gambling on the US Cavalry arriving in the nick of time to save them from the Cherokees! And other “First Nation” persons!
So what form could the metaphorical “US Cavalry” take?
I would suggest an engineering, technical and scientific form!
You see it IS POSSIBLE to provide batteries for a full laden family sized car that could be charged up in say 5 minutes that would give a realistic range (coping with headwinds, queues and freezing weather conditions) of 500 miles and would be the size and weight of this battery:

Now of course every engineer, technician and scientist will declare that such a battery is IMPOSSIBLE to make such a battery!
I would agree THIS with them: It is currently impossible for us to design and construct such a battery. Just as it was impossible for the great engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel to design and oversee the construction of HS2!
You see, the reason why we cannot construct such a revolutionary battery that would make electric vehicles affordable and practical is that we currently DO NOT possess the technology!
The same applies to the obsession that politicians like Sir Ed Davey have about generating electricity from “non fossil fuel” sources that do not emit CO2!
Again the ridiculous constructions that are wind turbines are impractical!

The trouble is with the above technology is that so far the engineers, technicians and scientists involved have not got it working!
IF they do, then the problem of providing Zero Carbon Electricity (ZCE) is solved!
IF Lawrenceville Plasma Physics Inc. of 128 Lincoln Blvd. Middlesex, NJ 08846-1022 (a US ZIP code not a ‘phone number) succeed they will also have provided the power source for a practical commercial electric aircraft. Think of an aircraft like the Douglas DC-7 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_DC-7) but with electric motors replacing the four Wright R-3350-988TC18EA1-2 18-cylinder turbo-compound air-cooled radial piston engines and the fusion reactors replacing the aviation fuel.
IF such car batteries and fusion reactors are relatively cheap to construct and the raw materials are not scarce, then the politicians dreams of a “Zero Carbon” economy can come true!
So there we have it!
IF the politicians and the scientists know that such advanced technology will be with them in the not too far distant future then legislation banning the registration of new internal combustion engine cars is not a problem!
Similarly, it will NOT be a problem to power all homes and commercial and (most) industrial premises with electricity and abandon gas.
So this of course begs yet another question: Where would the source of this new highly advanced technology come from?
I will suggest this answer: Outer Space!
You see, at present we are at a certain level of technological and scientific development. Suppose a highly advanced Extraterrestrial Civilisation (ETC) contacted us and was prepared to transfer technology?
In a way, this has already happened! (Sort Of) When the native people of New Guinea came into contact with Europeans there began a stage in their history that introduced technology they did not have. There were of course other consequences as well.
At this point I will go on to make certain assumptions.
That some of the governments of the world have had and are in communication with an ETC and that this is the reason why they (and the scientific community) are talking nonsense about CO2 heating up the planet.
IF this is the case it is Highly Likely that there is much argument and discussion about matters!
To try and figure out what might be going on we can refer back to a most excellent movie, the Day the Earth Stood Still. I am referring to the 1951 original with Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal.

“Klaatu” played by Michael Rennie was determined to give his message to all the world’s leaders and NOT just the President of the USA! The US government’s determination to prevent this, lead to some consequences which if you have not seen the movie, I won’t spoil things!
“Klaatu’s” problem I think may in 2022 taking place in fact and not just in fiction. It poses another interesting question: When the 1951 movie was being made, were some governments in contact with an ETC?
IF this is taking place, one cannot overstate the importance of it!
IF we are looking at a so-called “First Contact” situation the event will be momentous. In FACT, none of us (even those aged over 100) will have experienced an event which even comes close!
Of course, some of us would be quite blasé about it and point out to the fact that science-fiction has for a very long time now raised the possibility intelligent life on other planets and of human contact with same. They assume (wrongly) that most intelligent people (meaning people like themselves) “will be cool” with it!
Oh Dear! Oh Dear! Oh Dear!
How wrong you are!
For a start: These deeply, deeply mistaken people are thinking about the public in the so-called “First World” meaning the nations making up the EEA and the “white” “Anglo-sphere” (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK and the USA).
These people should realise that there is a lot of the world outside these nations! The public announcement that an ETC exists and that contact and diplomatic relations have been established with same will be a deeply traumatic and troubling event for many, many people living outside the above mentioned countries – and also many people living inside these countries!
Then there is the politics!
In the 1951 movie we saw the US administration determined to keep “Klaatu” under lock and key to prevent him from contact other than the US government!
You can bet your bottom dollar that the nations of the world will be all eager to have access to the ETC!
It is possible however that the ETC will have found that they are taking to groups of nations. One group will likely be the “First World” (above mentioned) the second will be the Second World (Russia and China) and the other group will be the rest!
Now the CRITICAL factor will be the attitude of and response of the ETC!
IF the ETC’s attitude and response is benign and inclusive – it wishes to treat equally with all parties and NOT give an advantage to any one nation or group of nations that is one thing.
IF the ETC’s attitude and response is NOT benign and NOT inclusive – and is in fact prepared to treat one nation or group of nations differently from other nations or groups of nations that is quite another thing!
Now certain things might be coming clearer!
Let us say that first contact took place in 1947 and is continuing. That is 75 years. Such a long drawn out time-scale is understandable IF the nations are squabbling and are in disagreement!
So, let us speculate on a possibility: let us suppose for the sake of argument that the ETC was prepared to make separate and different agreements with the above mentioned “First World Countries” and lesser agreements with the other groups the above mentioned “Second World Countries” above mentioned “Third World Countries”.
Let us suppose a malign ETC reached an agreement with the “First World Countries” to give comprehensive access to much of the highly advanced technology the nation’s engineers, technicians and scientists were capable of handling. Let us suppose that the science included medical, industrial and scientific advancements.
Let us further suppose that the malign ETC reached an agreement with the “First World Countries” for the state reason that these countries had high standards of human rights and jurisprudence and were genuine democracies. And that this was the reason they were not endowing the Second World nations and Third World Nations similarly.
That this possibility MIGHT be taking place is what is concerning me! You see, let us see what the Green Party and such as Extinction Rebellion are saying. They want to stop using what they call “fossil fuels”. They want to reduce to a minimum emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere.
This spells the end of Good Times for nations depended on producing these include the Gulf States and Russia.
IF crude oil and gas is no longer required by the First World then Russia and the Arab world are in dire trouble!
This for China and Russia could represent a casus belli. Of course, IF China and Russia have been already presented with this possibility they have a very severe problem IF the ETC was prepared to use it’s advanced technology to defend the “First World” states against an attack – such as a pre-emptive nuclear strike. IF any conventional attack was met with ETC involvement (destroying the attacking forces from Earth orbit) then the situation would for them be dire.
