Above, the pop song, “Lucy in the sky with diamonds”.
Yesterday, I went for my daily walk along the coast. As I ambled slowly along I stopped (as I do regularly) to have a look around at the glorious scenery around me. Quite some distance behind me I saw a group of young men out running. They were setting a fast pace and I knew these fellows were running quite a long way through the very hilly terrain. Although I did not know the names of any of these men, I knew who they were. They were Royal Marines as the Royals train regularly in this area. Thus when they were a few yards behind me I stood to one side just off the path to allow them through.
Therefore herewith the explanation for the military style title. Were the title a military communication, the words, “Lima, Sierra, Delta” (part of the NATO phonetic alphabet, officially denoted as the International Radiotelephony Spelling Alphabet) would be me repeating the message I had received over the what used to be a two way radio and is now a secure satellite communications system, to confirm the coded message [LSD], then for me to confirm my acceptance [of said message] with the reply, “Roger that” followed by the word “over” which would be me stating that I am ready to receive further communications.
In his blog-post today (http://eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=87351), Doctor North describes a state of affairs which includes the following description of the Buffoon’s actions:
“This path is so far beyond delusional that it takes us to the fringes of madness.”
The BG would disagree. We think it has gone beyond the fringes of madness and has finally entered the realms of insanity!
As a result, we have a suggestion for the Tories à propos what they should sing at their conference: How about “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” – which we all know is a reference to the hallucinogenic substance LSD!
