Our sympathies to the 1,000 or so Lloyds staff who are going to have find “pastures new” but the changes that are scheduled to be announced on Wednesday 21st February by António Horta Osório, CEO of Lloyds Bank are the result of the public’s increasing use of the internet and the telephone to conduct their banking business.
The above song is dedicated to them.

Of course we can expect many politicians especially from the Green, Labour, Liberal Democrat parties to criticise Senhor António Horta Osório. However they should reflect that they are partly responsible for this.
WHY?
Well anybody with a motor car who has attempted to drive and park same into a town or city cetntre these days will be able to testify that the people who run our towns, cities and country do not seem to like the motorist!
As a Great Patriot in the County of Huntingdonshire has said; “It is as if the Powers that Be have declared war upon the People!”
This campaign against the motorist has had the effect of driving people away from shopping and physical visits. People realise that they can achieve what they want to achieve by doing things online or by phone. Thus we see the decline of the High Street!
Of course this begs the question: Will our politicians take responsibility for their actions?
Of course not!
